Collaboration Process

The Callista collaboration process is incorporated within a unique tertiary education sector initiative: the Callista Service Agreement (CSA). The CSA provides the framework within which participants collaborate with Callista to design a product and service which meets the specific, collective needs of their institutions. Under the arrangement, participants actively engage in a community of common interest for their mutual benefit.
Participants collaborate with Callista on two separate levels:

Strategic

The Callista Senior Executive Group (CSEG) is comprised of senior executives from each participant. CSEG meets regularly with Callista to help determine the strategic direction of Callista products and services.

The CSEG Chair attends Callista board meetings, delivering a high level of transparency over our operations, and contributes to the company strategy, major directions and decisions relating to commercial arrangements.

CSEG functions include approval of:

  • Pipeline Plan: future product strategic directions across a rolling three-year cycle
  • Annual Plan: agreed deliverables (functionality, enhancements, etc) for the following year
  • Service quality review and recommendations for improvement and amendment of services

Operational

The Callista Planning and Advisory Group (CPAG) is comprised of student management professionals and technical managers from participating institutions, who work with Callista to help determine the functional and technical requirements for the Callista SMS.
Meeting frequently, CPAG ensures that Callista product and services are closely aligned with the objectives and operational needs of its participants.

CPAG functions include:
